Sijo Graham Pearl was first introduced to Chinese martial arts in 1973, where he first trained in Wu-shu (Fung-Sau style) under Sijo Chee Soo in St Neots. Later he joined the European Kung Fu Shu and trained under Sijo E.Slade. In 1974 He achieved his 5th and 4th Pan grading's. Later that year he began training in the hard style of Kung Fu known as Tien Laiyi Chuan under sijo Alan Smith. After achieving all 9 grades and black sash master grade in only 4 years he started teaching in his own kung fu martial art club in Huntingdon and formed the East Of England Martial Arts Centre.
To broaden his experience he also trained in the Philippine martial art Escima (kali style) under Sifu B. Jones.
Sijo Graham Pearl increased his experience further, by training in full contact under Sifu S. babbs where he achieved his instructors certificate after only 1 year. He was then graded to 2nd level black sash in 1982, by Sijo Alan Smith.
After ten years he left Sijo Alan Smith and formulated the styles we know as,
